About the role
Amazon is hiring an Applied Scientist for its Alexa AI team, based in Turin, Italy. The role sits at the intersection of research and production, focused on advancing and deploying machine learning, natural language processing, retrieval augmented generation, and large language model systems that power one of the world's most widely used voice assistants. You will work across the full ML lifecycle, from analysing customer behaviour and building novel metrics for personal digital assistants to deploying automated training pipelines and running rigorous A/B testing across devices and endpoints.
The position involves technical leadership, including building and deploying automated model training and evaluation pipelines, implementing deep learning and policy based learning algorithms, and taking ownership of production systems with on call responsibilities. You will collaborate with business.
