Call for Postdoctoral Researcher in AI-Based Software Quality Assurance (AQUA Lab)

AI4I is recruiting a Postdoctoral Researcher for its AI-based Software Quality Assurance (AQUA) Lab, led by Dr. Alessio Gambi. The position sits at the intersection of software engineering and artificial intelligence, with a focus on AI-assisted software testing and debugging. You will develop AI-based methods for automated test generation using large language models, symbolic techniques, and real-world artifacts such as logs, traces, and bug reports, and build approaches that support developers during debugging. Empirical studies on large-scale systems and prototype evaluation are also central to the work.

The role is based in Italy and involves close collaboration with academic and industrial partners, including technology transfer initiatives. Candidates should hold a PhD in software engineering, computer science, AI, or a related field, with a strong background in software testing, empirical software engineering, or AI/ML applications in software.
