Cost Analytics Lead

Baseten is hiring a Capacity and Infrastructure Analytics Lead (listed as Cost Analytics Lead) to build the analytics foundation for tracking infrastructure usage, capacity and cloud spend across its AI inference platform. This is a foundational analytics role focused on how compute is consumed, priced and optimized across Baseten's fleet. You would unify cloud billing exports, provider usage data and infrastructure telemetry into one view of cost and utilization, building canonical data models across dimensions and time grains, and partnering with Finance and Infrastructure on metrics like committed-capacity utilization, cost allocation and unit economics. The stack is squarely modern analytics: strong SQL, reusable dbt models and semantic layers, Python for integrating APIs and billing exports, with dashboards in tools like Sigma and Hex. Familiarity with AWS Cost and Usage Reports, GCP Billing Export and the FOCUS cost-normalization standard is expected. The differentiator is FinOps depth on real GPU-scale cloud spend, not generic BI.
