About the role
Prewave is hiring a Data Science Engineer to help turn large, messy supply chain data into early warnings for customers such as BMW Group, Hilti and Lufthansa. The role sits at the intersection of research and production engineering: you will apply NLP to extract meaning from diverse datasets, formulate hypotheses, find patterns and identify optimisation opportunities, then turn those findings into working systems.
Day to day, you will develop, fine-tune and deploy machine learning models with Torch and TensorFlow, monitor and improve their performance, and integrate new data sources to strengthen Prewave's intelligence. You will work in Python and Scala, use SQL and relational databases, and collaborate with cross-functional teams on business problems. The team describes itself as AI-native and expects comfort with tools such as Claude and Cursor, alongside end-to-end ownership.
Highlights
- Build and deploy NLP and ML models for real-time supply chain risk intelligence
- Work with Torch, TensorFlow, Python, Scala, SQL and cloud services
- Own models from prototyping through deployment and monitoring
- Join an AI-native team serving customers including BMW Group, Hilti and Lufthansa
