About the role
NTT DATA is hiring a Senior ML Engineer for its GenAI Solutions practice in Italy (the posting lists the Milan area).
You work alongside Data Scientists and ML Engineers on generative AI projects for enterprise clients, across cloud and on-prem architectures. The role owns models end to end: scalable data pipelines from experiment to production, deployment with CI/CD and containers, and MLOps practices. There is also a visible consulting component: mentoring junior engineers, managing multiple projects in parallel, and working with stakeholders to spot new opportunities.
They ask for 5+ years of production experience in data science or software engineering, strong math and statistics, fluency in at least two languages among Python, Scala, Java and C++, and 6 to 12 months of hands-on GenAI deployment. Spark, Databricks and Snowflake are pluses.
The interesting part: production GenAI at enterprise scale with an explicit mentoring and client-facing track, not a pure IC path.
