About the role
n8n is hiring a Product Data Analyst to be the dedicated data partner for one of its product squads.
n8n is an open-source workflow automation platform, Berlin-based and remote-first across Europe and the US. The twist here is that the PMs are already technical and data-literate. They write their own SQL and run their own analyses. This role is the analyst counterpart who takes that work deeper, brings the cross-product perspective a single squad can't see, and pairs with PMs on what gets built.
The headline focus is activation and adoption: how users reach value, what drives lasting use, where the product loses them. Expect onboarding funnels, retention drivers, cohort dynamics, behavioral segmentation, and properly designed experiments. You also partner with engineering on event instrumentation. The stack is expert SQL plus BigQuery, dbt, and Metabase, with Python when SQL runs out.
What stands out is that you sit in product planning as a peer, not a ticket-taker, embedded with PMs who actually want a data counterpart.
