About the role
Talentware, a startup founded in 2023 within Bain & Company's Venture Studio, is hiring a Senior AI Engineer for its AI-native talent skills platform. The company has raised 5 million euros and serves enterprise clients across Europe in sectors including Financial Services, Energy & Utilities, IT & Tech, Advanced Manufacturing and Pharma.
You will act as the technical reference on AI, taking direct ownership of one or more core AI assets. The work covers production-grade AI architectures, multi-agent systems with tool usage, memory and orchestration, prompt engineering, model selection and retrieval optimisation, plus MLOps standards for reproducibility, automation and end-to-end observability. You will also do code review and coach senior and mid-level colleagues, and collaborate with the CTO, AI PM and product teams.
Highlights
- 5+ years in ML engineering or applied AI with direct production responsibility
- AWS serverless stack: Lambda, Step Functions, Bedrock, plus Docker, CI/CD and Python
- Hybrid setup in Milan, minimum two days per week on site
