Senior Analytics Engineer – Data Governance

Qonto is hiring a Senior Analytics Engineer for Data Governance, a first-of-its-kind role as the company transitions from a payment institution to a fully licensed bank. Qonto is a profitable European finance workspace for SMEs, serving 600,000+ customers across 8 European countries.

You would own the data governance framework end to end: defining data quality rules and controls across critical datasets, shipping dbt tests and source-level checks (referential integrity, value validity), and running the monitoring and remediation loop with data owners and stewards. The work feeds directly into regulatory reporting and audit reviews, so precision and traceability matter. You sit at the intersection of Data, Product, Engineering, and Compliance, reporting to the Head of Analytics Engineering.

The core stack is dbt and SQL, with Python for automation as a plus. What stands out: this is a blank-page build, not an inherited playbook, with explicit room to grow into staff scope and lead a small team. Qonto also leans heavily on AI to automate the repetitive governance work.
