About the role
Makersite is hiring a Senior Data Scientist to build and run production AI systems for its product lifecycle management platform, which helps companies make more sustainable supply chain decisions. The position is remote-first within the EU, with optional in-person collaboration at offices in Stuttgart or Berlin depending on the role.
You will own end-to-end delivery of AI solutions, from prototyping through production. Day to day work includes building scalable APIs that serve ML models, designing retrieval-augmented generation systems with vector databases, orchestrating AI agents with frameworks such as LangGraph or CrewAI, and selecting large language models for specific use cases. The role also covers inference optimization, monitoring and observability, and CI/CD pipelines for testing and deployment. Makersite is moving from rapid experimentation to more structured.
