Senior Machine Learning Engineer

Sona builds AI-driven operational software for frontline businesses, where shift-by-shift labour costs, regional compliance, and thin margins make scheduling a genuinely hard problem. The company has raised over $100M, signed more than 100 enterprise customers across the UK and US, and operates from London, New York, Austin and Lisbon. This role sits inside a two-person ML team behind a forecasting system that produces half-hourly demand predictions for multiple restaurant chains.

You will own client launches end-to-end: validating data, selecting models, running UAT, going live, and monitoring performance afterwards. The forecasting models feed into a complex environment where machine and human decisions depend on their output, creating feedback loops and high variability. The core challenge is scaling a working system from a handful of clients to hundreds, which means joining client calls.
