About the role
Modash is hiring a Senior Product Data Engineer to join its Data Insights team, the group responsible for turning raw social media signals into customer-facing data products. This is a product engineering role rather than a service or reporting function: you will own high impact projects end to end, from scoping and architecture through release and iteration, with minimal meetings and significant autonomy.
The work spans large-scale data processing and applied AI. Examples include modelling creator location, age and interests at scale, extracting brand-creator collaborations from raw social data, and exploring how LLMs and embeddings can improve search and recommendations. The stack centres on PySpark on AWS EMR, Airflow, Iceberg, Aurora Postgres, Pulumi, and GCP Vertex for LLM batch work.
