About the role
Yuno is hiring a Staff AI Engineer to lead Payments Intelligence, the unit responsible for the company's AI agents and intelligence products. You will own the architecture of production agent systems such as AIDA, which retrieves payment data and answers technical questions for support and operations teams, and NOVA, which turns failed payments into multilingual customer conversations across channels including phone and WhatsApp. The role is hands-on and senior, spanning multi-step agents with tool use, orchestration, memory, and retrieval-augmented generation, plus evaluation, observability, and guardrails for a compliance-sensitive, multi-market environment.
You will also shape client-intelligence systems that convert payment data into merchant insight, build AI-driven automation for internal operations and support, and mentor engineers while partnering with Product, Data Science, and other Staff Engineers. The stack centers on Python for AI and ML, Go.
