About the role
AI4I's Machine Intelligence for Robot Autonomy (MIRA) Laboratory in Turin is hiring two Postdoctoral Researchers in Robot Learning and Embodied AI. The lab, led by Dr. Daniele Gammelli, works on algorithmic foundations and system-level methods that let AI-powered autonomous systems operate safely and reliably in high-stakes settings, drawing on AI/ML, statistical learning, control theory, and mathematical optimization, with applications in aerospace robotics and future mobility.
Successful candidates shape their own research agenda within MIRA's direction. Topics of interest include foundation models for autonomy such as LLMs, VLMs, and VLAs, reinforcement and imitation learning, physical AI safety, continual learning and adaptation under distribution shift, world models, integration of.
