About the role
Leonardo is seeking a Modelling and Simulation AI specialist for its Aircraft Division within the Simulation & Training System unit, specifically the Advanced Analytics & Artificial Intelligence for training team, based in Venegono Superiore. The role sits at the intersection of simulation software engineering and applied artificial intelligence, supporting pilot training products and simulation environments. You will analyse end user needs and system specifications, identify hardware and software requirements, design modelling and simulation application software, and manage CSCI integration. Day to day work includes dataset analysis and preparation, validation and fine tuning of AI models, HMI feature development, and building control models for simulated actors such as CGF using AI algorithms.
The position also covers integrating LLMs into training products, developing AI models for biometric sensor analysis applied to pilots, and building Tiny ML models.
