Data Engineer – Cloud & AI Solutions

Sopra Steria is hiring a Data Engineer for its Data Analytics & AI team, based in Assago (Milan). You will design, build, and evolve modern cloud data architectures, working alongside Data Engineers, Data Scientists, and AI specialists on digital transformation, migration, and data valorisation initiatives for major clients.

The role focuses on developing scalable ETL/ELT pipelines on Google Cloud Platform and AWS, handling both batch and real-time streaming ingestion, and managing Data Warehouse, Data Lake, and Lakehouse environments. You will also collaborate with Data Science and AI teams to integrate Machine Learning models and support Generative AI and agentic solutions, while ensuring data quality, security, and compliance through governance best practices and automated CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code processes.

Highlights
