MSC Technology Italia is hiring a Data Engineer for its EDMA Data Hub team in Torino, an agile and global group building an interconnected data platform that serves business users and products across multiple domains. The position supports MSC's wider digitalization and business growth strategy within the maritime shipping group.
The role centres on building data ingestion and transformation pipelines, ensuring they are performant and optimized, and handling pipeline orchestration including scheduling, triggering, fault tolerance, retry logic, and monitoring or alerting. You will also embed data quality guarantees into pipelines and ensure SLAs are met. The team asks for at least five years of data engineering experience, Databricks, medallion architecture, SQL, Python, Azure Data Factory, Spark, Data Lake or Lakehouse work, and GIT. Kafka ingestion and MS Fabric knowledge are nice to have, and occasional on-call.
