ELI AI Specialist

Leonardo is hiring an AI Specialist at expert-senior level for its Cascina Costa (Varese) site, within the Technology and Innovation area. The role centres on designing, developing, and implementing computer vision and time series analysis models, as well as AI agents, with a strong emphasis on optimisation and deployment to edge devices. You will work alongside cross-functional teams, contribute to European funded projects, and help integrate AI solutions into broader product ecosystems while keeping models scalable, robust, and efficient.

The position suits someone with 4 to 10 years of professional AI experience and a Master's or PhD in a relevant field. Python and PyTorch are central, with ONNX and TensorRT for deployment, plus Git, Docker or Singularity, and MLOps exposure. Mentoring junior colleagues and communicating clearly across teams matter here. Leonardo offers a permanent contract under the private metalworking CCNL.
