Sul ruolo
Repower Italia is hiring a Forecasting & Energy Data Analyst for its Middle Office team within Trading in Rome. The role focuses on forecasting renewable generation and electricity and gas consumption, using energy, weather, market, and customer data. You will integrate historical and real-time inputs, monitor forecast performance, investigate deviations, and identify anomalies such as outages, curtailment, and data quality issues.
The analyst will use time-series analysis, Python, SQL, and statistical and machine learning methods, and will compare forecasting models through backtesting. The work also includes developing dashboards and reports and recommending new variables or methods to improve accuracy. The position asks for 2-5 years of energy forecasting experience and a quantitative master’s degree; familiarity with renewable energy, Italian electricity markets, and forecasting tools is useful.
