Forward-Deployed AI Engineer (Internship or Full-Time, Milan)

Gemmo AI is hiring Forward-Deployed AI Engineers for its Milan AI Lab, with openings for both interns and experienced full-time hires. The company builds custom AI solutions for financial services, combining machine learning and generative AI with direct client engagement. This is a hands-on role where you own the full lifecycle from understanding business problems to deploying and maintaining production systems.

The position blends business analysis, ML engineering, and software engineering. You will work directly with enterprise clients, build prediction models and fine-tuned LLMs, design APIs, and deploy solutions on Azure and Snowflake. The team is technical-first and lean, with 25 forward-deployed engineers including 4 PhDs. Interns receive mentorship with a clear path to full-time conversion, while experienced hires join at CCNL Metalmeccanico level C3 or C2.
