Fondazione Policlinico Universitario Agostino Gemelli IRCCS is hiring a Junior Data Scientist for its DWH and Digital Innovation in Healthcare unit in Rome. The fixed-term, 12-month role supports applied research in healthcare and biomedical AI, including machine learning and deep learning, with opportunities to work with multimodal data such as imaging, physiological signals, clinical records, time series and text.

Working with senior researchers, data scientists, clinicians and other stakeholders, you will help prepare and integrate data, build preprocessing and ML pipelines, run experiments in Python, and evaluate model performance, robustness and generalization. The work also includes documenting and sharing results. The team provides access to complex datasets and dedicated computing infrastructure, including GPUs.
