VEL - Ground Support Systems AI Specialist

Leonardo, the international aerospace, defence and security group, is hiring a Ground Support Systems AI Specialist within its Simulation, Ground Support Equipment and Training Systems area at the Torino C.so Francia site. The position sits inside the GCAP programme, the Global Combat Air Programme developed with BAE Systems and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, and supports ground systems for sixth generation platforms and related products.

The role combines software engineering with applied artificial intelligence. You will define software design and architecture, allocate requirements and produce Software Requirements Specifications, maintain the development toolchain, write source code directly, set test strategies with growing use of automated testing, define Statements of Work for external software development, and integrate third party software parts.
