About the role
Neurons Lab is hiring an AI Architect to take a real-time voice copilot from a validated proof of concept into production for a US veterinary hospice and end-of-life care network. The system listens to calls between care coordinators and pet families, extracts appointment and clinical details, and enters them into a scheduling system. A related workstream sends veterinarians AI-generated pre-visit briefings. This is a contract role beginning in an expected September 2026 production phase, with an initial commitment of at least 0.5 FTE and potential to ramp toward 1.0 FTE.
The architect will own the full technical pipeline, including streaming speech recognition, LLM extraction, Chrome extension delivery and AWS infrastructure. The work includes improving latency, evaluating model accuracy and cost, and hardening the service for concurrent calls, data isolation, monitoring and rollback. The role also.
