About the role
Scalian is hiring an AI & Data Engineer in Milan to build Generative AI and Agentic AI solutions for client projects. The role centres on designing multi-step, stateful workflows with LangGraph and LangChain, developing Advanced RAG and document processing pipelines for complex business documentation, and integrating local or on-premise LLMs within internal infrastructure to keep sensitive contractual data secure. You will also design and develop ETL, data processing and Machine Learning solutions in Python using Pandas, NumPy and Scikit-learn.
The team is looking for someone with 3 to 5 years of professional experience in Generative AI, Machine Learning, data engineering or a closely related field, plus hands-on delivery of AI-driven solutions. Fluent Italian and English are required, alongside problem solving, communication, a goal-oriented approach and teamwork.
