About the role
Lutech is hiring an AI Engineer based in Cosenza on a hybrid arrangement. The role sits within the AI, Data and Hyperautomation function and focuses on designing and delivering solutions built on AI, Generative AI and Agentic AI for client digital transformation projects and funded R&D initiatives. You will work in multidisciplinary teams, taking AI components from requirements gathering through to deployment.
Day to day, the work involves building scalable Python applications, services, backends and APIs powered by LLMs, RAG and Agentic AI, integrating them with databases, enterprise systems, document repositories and knowledge bases. You will optimise RAG pipelines, design agentic workflows and multi-agent architectures for retrieval, reasoning and content generation, and orchestrate cloud and on-prem LLMs while managing performance, reliability and operating costs. Monitoring, testing and cost optimisation are part of the remit.
