About the role
indigo.ai is hiring an AI Engineer for its Product team, based in Milan with a remote-friendly setup. The company builds conversational AI agents for enterprises across finance, insurance, utilities, retail, and e-commerce, and recently raised 10 million euros from Azimut to expand globally. This role sits alongside the person who currently leads AI on the product.
You will own AI features end to end, from prototyping to production. That includes building multi-step agentic workflows with tool calling, designing RAG architectures over messy enterprise documents, and creating evaluation pipelines that measure accuracy, hallucination rates, latency, and reliability. The codebase is mainly Elixir, and you will be expected to use AI coding assistants daily. Fluent Italian and B2+ English are required.
