About the role
EY is hiring a Senior AI Engineer in Milan to develop and industrialize AI components for its AI+ Factory products. The role spans agents, retrieval augmented generation pipelines, LLM orchestration, inference services, and integrations with pretrained or fine-tuned models. You will turn architectural specifications and product requirements into reliable, scalable application components, working with AI architects, data scientists, software developers, DevOps/MLOps engineers, and product managers.
The work also covers testing, performance optimization, cloud deployment, model lifecycle management, and moving prototypes into stable reusable assets. EY seeks 3-5 years of relevant AI, machine learning, or software engineering experience, strong Python and AI/ML fundamentals, and experience with APIs, cloud-native services, containers, and LLM applications. The role includes supporting more junior colleagues and contributing to technical reviews and delivery practices.
