    About the role

Molecule is hiring an AI Scientist to build autonomous agent fleets for scientific research across biotech disease areas. The role spans literature mining, target identification, molecular and assay design, and data analysis, with responsibility for taking each fleet from architecture through deployment, evaluation, and scientific review. The goal is tangible research output that can advance intellectual property, such as a validated target, candidate molecule, or novel dataset.

This is an entrepreneurial, high ownership position working directly with the founding team and reporting results to the CEO. The first four weeks are spent on-site with the team, launching an agent fleet into production against a real disease area; afterward, the work expands across multiple fleets and disease areas. Molecule seeks deep knowledge of LLMs and agent frameworks alongside expertise in a wet-science domain such as biology, chemistry, pharma, structural biology, or genomics.

    Highlights

    • Architect and deploy autonomous scientific agent fleets
    • Work across AI, data analysis, and biotech research
    • Own agent design, orchestration, evaluation, and scientific judgment
    • Turn research into deliverables that can advance IP
