Applied AI Engineer – OCR, Dokumentenklassifikation, Extraktion, RAG/LLM, Evaluation/QA (m/w/d) – Remote – Freelancer

MTR Legal is seeking a freelance Applied AI Engineer to build production-ready document processing and retrieval workflows. The project focuses on OCR, document classification and extraction, with RAG/LLM outputs including summaries, client email drafts and action items. The engagement is project-based, fully remote, and planned to start as soon as possible; workload is negotiable.

The work spans pipeline implementation, quality controls and workflow integration. Deliverables include schemas and validations for the top document types, handling of difficult scans, tables and stamps, confidence thresholds, human review gates, and evaluation assets to measure quality and catch regressions.
