Contract Senior Data Engineer

YLD is hiring a Senior Data Engineer for a three-month B2B contract, working remotely within the European Union as part of a client’s data platform team. The role focuses on building core infrastructure, including pipelines, APIs, and data models, and making data services available securely to internal and external stakeholders.

You will choose and implement technologies for scalable data access, batch processing, and near-real-time streaming. The work calls for Python, complex SQL, data modelling, and experience with tools such as dbt, Kafka, Spark, AWS Kinesis, Lambda, and Airflow. You will also instrument systems for performance, maintain monitoring and alerting, work with engineering leaders and architects, and coach and mentor other engineers.
