About the role
Ruby Labs, a consumer tech company operating across health, education, and entertainment, is hiring a Data Analytics Engineer to own the analytical data layer that supports decision-making across the business. You will transform business requirements into reliable, well-modeled datasets using dbt, SQL, and cloud data warehouses such as BigQuery and ClickHouse, acting as the bridge between raw data ingestion and analytics.
Day to day, you will design and maintain dbt models across staging, core, and marts, build data quality tests and anomaly detection, document datasets and lineage, and partner with data engineers, analysts, product managers, and marketing teams. The role also covers pipeline monitoring, governance work like naming conventions and metric definitions, and ongoing performance and cost tuning. Strong SQL, hands-on dbt experience, and familiarity with ELT/ETL concepts are required; Python, orchestration tools like Airflow or Dagster, and semantic layer exposure are nice to have.
