About the role
European Dynamics is hiring a Data Architect to shape and run the organisation's data strategy and architecture. The role sits close to a major client's IT team, so you will translate business requirements into scalable data models and technical specifications while working alongside engineers, data scientists and business leaders.
Day to day work covers data modelling across conceptual, logical and physical layers, metadata and lineage management, and the design of batch and real-time pipelines across diverse platforms. You will also set data governance, quality, security and privacy standards, deploy cloud and hybrid data platforms, and mentor teams on architecture best practices. The position asks for at least 12 years of relevant experience, deep hands-on work with relational databases, DWH, ETL/ELT and data integration tooling, plus a mandatory certification such as TOGAF, CDMP, DAMA-DMBoK or ISO data governance standards.
