About the role
Block Labs is hiring a Data Platform Engineer to build the data backbone for its products, supporting real-time decisioning, predictive modelling, and AI agents. The role owns end-to-end pipelines that serve a unified analytical warehouse and feature-serving layer across a multi-tenant platform.
You will design batch and streaming workflows, optimize ClickHouse, build data contracts and low-latency feature delivery, and integrate third-party systems. The work also includes observability, data quality, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code. You will collaborate with data scientists, AI engineers, BI developers, and infrastructure teams in a small, high-autonomy Data function. The role asks for at least three years operating production pipelines and hands-on experience with Kafka, SQL, Spark, and cloud data infrastructure. Block Labs works fully remotely and prefers EU time-zone overlap.
