About the role
JUNI gGmbH seeks a freelance Data Engineer to connect seven SaaS tools with a central Postgres application database. The work covers inbound pipelines, identity resolution, outbound synchronization, and reliable handling of conflicting or duplicated events. The engineer will help refine the data model and argue for design decisions as new sources expose inconsistencies.
Requirements include deep experience with APIs and webhooks, bidirectional synchronization, idempotency, and Postgres functions, triggers, constraints, and row-level security. The role also involves delivering KPI data to a BI tool, enabling natural-language search, and documenting decisions and pipelines in GitHub. Written English and GDPR-aware handling of personal data are required. Dashboard development and frontend work are outside the scope.
Highlights
- Remote within the EU, with predominantly asynchronous collaboration.
- Initial three-month freelance engagement, starting as soon as possible.
- Substantial responsibility for integration design and data-model decisions.
- n8n, Supabase, search-index experience, and German are helpful extras.
