About the role
Baker Hughes is offering a full-time internship on its Physical AI and Computer Vision team, based at the Florence campus. The team builds and adapts AI, computer vision and robotics algorithms across projects including autonomous inspection and maintenance, advanced sensors, hardware prototyping, image and video analytics, defect detection, remote sensing and satellite imagery analysis for emission monitoring, control and predictive maintenance. Work spans exploration of new solutions through to production-ready code deployed in Cloud and Edge environments and on customer sites.
The internship focuses on developing advanced algorithms for robotics inspection and maintenance in industrial settings, supporting autonomous mission definition and robot deployment in the energy industry. Activities may include acquiring sensor data onboard robots, writing source code, training AI/CV models, integrating models into robots, simulation and field testing, hardware prototyping, and remote sensing for emission.
