About the role
Baker Hughes is hiring a Lead AI Engineer to join its Artificial Intelligence Engineering Team, designing, building and operating AI services that support real-time decisioning, document understanding, predictive maintenance, computer vision and Generative AI use cases. The team focuses on turning validated AI models into reliable, secure and scalable production services.
In this role you will lead the design, analysis, implementation and integration of AI model serving solutions, standardize serving architectures for AI and GenAI, define safe rollout and rollback strategies, and drive performance, scalability and cost optimization. You will also establish runtime resilience patterns, provide technical leadership through design and code reviews, develop performance, load, resiliency and cost test plans, ensure operational readiness for production launches, and collaborate with Platform, MLOps, Reliability, Security, Data and Product teams.
