About the role
EDB is hiring a Machine Learning Engineer to own the ML infrastructure behind its governance models, spanning serving, evaluation, red-teaming, and continuous improvement. The role sits within a broader effort to build next-generation AI agent infrastructure on Postgres, including an Agent Hub, an Agent Memory layer, MCP, governance and trust controls, and enterprise-grade retrieval. You will help turn Postgres into a first-class platform for AI agents.
The work covers low-latency serving and evaluation pipelines, a model registry, research-to-production optimization such as quantization and distillation, drift monitoring, shadow deployment, and telemetry-to-training pipelines. You will also build a red-team harness with attack orchestration, scorecards, regression suites, and CI gating, plus a self-improvement loop for continuous retraining, dataset curation from the audit trail, and gated auto-rollout.
Highlights
- 100% remote position, explicitly stated in the listing
- Own serving, evaluation, red-teaming, and continuous improvement for governance models
- Work on LLM and agentic systems on top of Postgres
- Build auto-retraining loops from production telemetry and audit data
