About the role
Refurbed is hiring a Senior AI Engineer to lead the design and delivery of internal AI tools and systems, supporting the company's shift toward being AI-native. You will own the services, integrations, and deployment pathways that take internal tools from prototype to secure, reliable full-scale internal deployment, working closely with the Head of Internal Technology & AI and core platform Engineering teams.
The role blends back-end engineering with AI platform work. You will build and operate reliable services, APIs, and integrations, maintain shared AI capabilities such as reusable skills, plugins, MCP connectors, and a central registry of internal tools, and help define a risk-based review framework for internally built AI applications. You will also drive adoption through demonstrations, documentation, and hands-on integration.
