About the role
Italgas, through its digital subsidiary Bludigit, is hiring a Senior AI Operations Lead to act as the technical reference for putting Data and AI solutions into production and keeping them running reliably. The role sits at the intersection of platform engineering, MLOps and DataOps, with hands-on ownership of deployment, monitoring, incident resolution and continuous improvement across the AI solution lifecycle.
You will work mainly on Microsoft Azure and Databricks, managing data pipelines and AI models in production, implementing CI/CD, model versioning, scheduled retraining and drift monitoring, and enforcing Data Governance and Security standards such as Unity Catalog and Row-Level Security. The position also covers capacity planning, cloud cost optimisation, automation of recurring operational processes, and collaboration with external suppliers and internal support.
