About the role
South Pole is hiring a Senior Lead, AI Engineering for its Global Data and Business Solutions function, based in Milan. The role sits behind the company's products, building the intelligent layer that turns large, messy environmental and carbon-market data into reliable answers. You will design and ship LLM-powered features end to end, including retrieval-augmented generation, structured extraction, summarisation, and agentic tool-using workflows.
The position is pitched at medior-to-senior level, and the team is open to a strong medior ready to step up as well as a senior who can turn a vague requirement into a tested, well-reasoned feature. Day to day you will build data and inference.
Highlights
