About the role
Constructor is an AI-first ecommerce search and discovery platform that helps global brands drive revenue and conversion. It is hiring a Senior Machine Learning Engineer for the ML Recall team, which owns the retrieval layer of its search engine. The mission: ensure the product a shopper looks for is always among the results, for any query, in any language, in a few milliseconds.
The work spans search recall with dense and sparse models, visual and multimodal search such as image search and shop the look, and models as a platform used by other teams. Models must generalize across 40+ languages and 20+ domains without per-customer rules. You will experiment with new architectures, A/B test on live traffic, and address the measurement challenge of missed products that leave no trace in logs. Requirements: 4+ years shipping production ML, hands-on transformer training and evaluation, strong Python and PyTorch, and fluency.
