Software Engineer AI & Data Architecture

KPMG Advisory is hiring a Software Engineer for AI and Data Architecture to join its Lighthouse centre of excellence in Rome. Lighthouse is the firm's Data and Analytics hub, and this role sits at the intersection of engineering, architecture and analytics delivery for client projects.

You will supervise the design and maintenance of scalable microservices architectures using RESTful APIs and SQL or NoSQL stores, govern data architectures that support business intelligence and reporting flows, and manage cloud-native ecosystems on AWS or Azure with attention to resilience and cost optimisation. The position also involves advising teams on technology stack choices, tracking KPIs, budgets and deadlines within Agile delivery, and working with stakeholders on roadmaps and business requirements.
