About the role
Bioptimus is building a universal AI foundation model for biology, backed by more than $75M in funding and headquartered in Paris. The company is hiring a Software Engineer for its research data platform team to design and scale the data architecture that powers its AI models and user-facing tools. This is a mid-level to senior individual contributor role, and the position can be performed remotely outside of Paris.
The engineer will architect and maintain scalable data schemas and storage solutions optimized for high-performance AI workloads, benchmark and extend distributed storage using chunking and compression, and build clean typed APIs that let researchers, engineers, and AI agents query the platform.
